The newly refurbished room was beautiful and the breakfast was very nice.

The TV kept glitching, I presume a wifi issue and there was a light shining through our bedroom window all night.

The place has a homely feel, very different to the chain hotels. They are clearly making a huge effort to refurbish the rooms to great effect.

Stayed here many times while visiting a relative in the area. Everything was good, room was dated but clean and adequate for us . Food was very good. Staff extremely friendly.

Didn't like that the TV in room 14 wasn't set up, it seemed it as it was a brand new TV as it requested my email or phone , as a matter of data protection I withheld these , unable to use it , as didn't want my details available to guests that follow. I know its built in as protection to ensure a TV licence is held but the hotels details should be fed into the smart TV and guests press the guest override for viewing.

This is about our 12th stay at the Jacobean as it is very conveniently placed for us to stay whilst exhibiting at the NEC. The hotel is friendly and serve up a very good breakfast.
What did you not like about your stay in the property or location?
The bedrooms are a bit 'tired' but are well maintained and clean. Sometimes if there is a party or a wedding/anniversary/birthday gathering in the bar it can be a bit noisy in the restaurant area but these are very minor issues.

Staff so friendly and helpful and assisting wth room change. Location amd parking brilliant. Garden and views of stables horses beautiful. Layout of room 24 great

First room too old and u kept, noisy from bar with live band. Room 30 something. Nothing else

What did you like about your stay in the property or location?
Location was great, we stayed for easy access to the NEC which is 7 miles away. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment and of the standard of refurbishment looks very good in the room that we took a sneak view of. Our room had not been refurbished but was more than acceptable and the price was competitive. The selection of food on the menu was extensive for breakfast and evening meal. The breakfasts and evening meals we ordered were excellent, well presented and competitive. The biggest impression for us was the staff, from checkin, restaurant, housekeeping and maintenance were genuinely friendly and very helpful which made our stay very enjoyable. They are a great asset to the hotel.

It had a very homely touch to the room. was easy to find.

I had to call and ask for the refund has it hadnt been put through has promised which was a bit disappointing. The receptionist did appologise, and will putting it through asap. there was a lot of work going on so was a bit noisy too.

Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms,very nice very comfortable. Great staff throughout and very helpful and friendly. Nice bar and good food would definitely recommend a stay at the jacobean

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. Ideally located near to all amenities just a 5 min walk away.

Only a suggestion possibly a small fridge in the room would be a good idea.

THE ONLY SLIGHT PROBLEM WAS THAT I HAD 2 PEOPLE WITH ME WHO HAVE WALKING PROBLEMS AND THE STAIRS WERE A SLIGHT PROBLEM . BUT THE SERVIVE COUNTRED THIS PROBLEM . OVER ALL A BRILIANT STAY . WE WILL COME AGAIN AT CHRISTMAS OR IN THE SPRING

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice range of excellent quality food in the restaurant. Very welcoming all round. Quiet location but near enough for town. Would recommend. Will be back again for our fifth visit soon.
